My name is Amanda, and I just recently graduated from Emerson College. I studied Musical Theater and am currently a working actress.
At six years old, I began my musical journey in front of a piano. I worked hard through my senior year of high school, earning numerous honors awards for competitions and exams. These competitions included the MMTA Federation and Student Day exams and the Royal Conservatory of Music exams. In all three exams, I received and placed with honors each year from the ages of 7-17. I also continued my piano education in college by switching from a classical approach to a musical director/accompanist approach.
In high school, I excelled as Music Director, Drama President, and a member of the Thespian Honor Society and Competition Troupe. After high school, I got my Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Musical Theater and continued my artistic education. When I would come home for breaks, I would continue to work with my high school's theater department as a technical coach for competitions.
I have always been passionate about education and sharing my knowledge to benefit younger generations. There is so much importance in artistic education and development. I am very passionate and patient. I am also accommodating and enthusiastic about working with the next generation of performers. With my services, I hope to become an extra support system and educator for my students. I provide a fun environment that allows a student to try and fail without feeling defeated. It's all a process, and I am here to remind them that things do not happen overnight. We work hard for them.
